Can We Have A Point?

Class DOJO... I LOVE it! My kids are so excited to use DOJO points in our classroom. I pull the DOJO website up during reading stations and can control the points with my iPhone. Students can hear when a student earns or looses a point for their behavior. The best part is, I can control the points from anywhere! It's like magic! When my students earn eight points they get out of the treasure box. I reset the points weekly. Here is a link and video that will tell you more about class DOJO

Also starting this week we have used our iPads during math stations for the first time. They were a huge hit during reading but to be honest I was a little worried about using them during math. We were working on congruent shapes and there is a geoboard app that my kids loved! They were able to make all kinds of shapes. The iPads are by far my favorite new "toy" in the classroom. Our school is still working on how to purchase apps so any advice will be greatly appreciated. Anyone have a specific system that your school uses for these purchases?

  1. I have heard a lot about this resource. Do you have it up on a smartboard for the students to see? I think this would be great! Did you encounter any problems with the sounds interrupting instruction?
